MEDCO breaks ground on Marion Enterprise Center

After more than two years in the works, a groundbreaking was held last Wednesday, July 21, at the Marion Enterprise Center (MEC), which will open up nearly 300 acres of shovel-ready industrial ground on the eastern edge of Marion.

One of the proposed changes to Uptown Marion in the city's Uptown streetscape plan has drawn considerable controversy of late: a suggestion to remove the Depot pavilion in City Square Park, taking down some of the park's trees so that the park is more open.
