Loren G. Annis, 70, of Central City, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Central City by Pastor Mary Taylor. The family greeted friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; mother, Margaret Annis; three children: Kevin Annis of Central City, Lorna Draves of Cedar Rapids and Chris Anderson of Independence, Mo.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gerald Annis of Central City.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Annis.

Loren was born November 7, 1939, in Iowa City, the son of Dale and Margaret (O'Connor) Annis. He married Helen Capron on July 26, 1958, in Central City.

A memorial fund has been established in Loren's memory.
