The Marion Independent School District and the Linn-Mar Community School District have scheduled their student registration dates for the 2010-11 school year.

Registration for students at all MISD buildings will be held at Marion High School next Thursday, August 5, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Representatives from all buildings will be available to answer questions.

Returning Marion students will be able to register online at www.marion.k12.ia.us. The website will be set up to allow parents to pay fees digitally as well. New students, however, will still need to register in person.

Registration in the Linn-Mar district will be held between next Thursday, August 5, and Tuesday, August 10. On August 5, Echo Hill Elementary registration will be from 2 to 6:30 p.m., Indian Creek Elementary's will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Novak Elementary's will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Westfield Elementary's will be from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m., Wilkins Elementary will hold its registration from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Oak Ridge Middle School's will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Friday, August 6, registration at Excelsior Middle School will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Registration for Bowman Woods Elementary students is scheduled for 1 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 9, while Linn Grove Elementary's will be from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. the same day.

Linn-Mar High School registration will be held over two days, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on August 9, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9.

Classes at all Marion schools are set to begin on Thursday, August 19. Linn-Mar will start its classes a day earlier, on Wednesday, August 18.
