The city of Marion has announced dates and times for its upcoming public input meetings regarding the uptown streetscape plan, which is currently in the works.

City staff will be on hand to discuss the plan at the second Downtown Getdown concert on Thursday, August 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. in City Square Park.

On Friday, August 13, the city's Planning and Development Department will hold a barbecue from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served and is free to the public.

At both meetings, community members will have the chance to view some of the proposed concepts for the plan, provide input and ask questions.

The proposed concepts are also viewable at City Hall and on the streetscape plan's website, www.youplanuptown.com.
